Have you renewed your membership for 2011? if you haven't and you are racing in the clubs name then you may be withdrawn from the event if you've not registered with us.

A number of Charlotteville members have already renewed their membership online for 2011 – thank you for doing this.  The online renewal is now open and ready for further 2011 subscriptions.  Membership fees are the same as 2010.  If you have previously registered on the website then all your details have been stored.  You only need to log in and head to the ‘Membership Info’ tab on your profile.

Members who have not previously paid online, have two options:

  • New members can sign up using the registration form and register on the website for the first time
  • Existing Charlotteville members will find that all their details have been imported into the system already and they can access this information by logging in.  If you don't have a username or password, please email: webmaster@charlottevillecc.org.uk, who will provide login details on an individual basis.

If you do not wish to use the online method (or are unable to do so) then you can Download the PDF form on the website and send it to the membership secretary along with the renewal subscription.

Instructions for renewing your membership, as well as becoming a new user on the website can be found here: www.charlottevillecc.org.uk/instructions.

If you have any problems during the registration process, please contact webmaster@charlottevillecc.org.uk.

Timetrialling - Achieve Your True Potential PDF Print E-mail

Adam Topham (High Wycombe CC) is passionate about time-trialling and his main aim with his new book is to scream his passion from the rooftops and to turn it into a rampantly contagious affliction.  In it he vividly captures the pure essence of time-trialling…

The four fundamentals of flying are lift, drag, thrust and weight.  Take away lift and you almost have time-trialling.  Reduce drag, increase thrust or power, reduce weight and you are on your way to learning how to fly on your bike!  The fourth fundamental is pain!  Just as insufficient lift will keep a plane from taking off, insufficient pain will keep a time-triallist from truly flying.

New Sponsor for Road Racers PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dave Faulkner

Happy New Year everyone,

As some of you may be aware we have been hard at work finding a new sponsor for the road racers of the club. I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our previous sponsor sheerwater glass www.sheerwaterglass.co.uk . Their support has helped us build a regular road race scene within the club as well as drawing back some club members who had drifted away to other clubs.

It is with great pleasure I can formally announce our new sponsor for 2011 is www.shinycufflinks.co.uk . The logo appears across the back of the shorts and the sponsor has requested that you put the website address on the sponsors section of any race entry forms. Road Racers will get a 20% discount on products from the website. Also there will be some flyers which Road Racers will be asked to distribute at races.

National 50 Programme Cover Design Competition PDF Print E-mail

National 50 Mile Time Trial Championships 2011 - 18th / 19th June 2011

The above event, promoted on behalf of CTT by the Charlotteville Cycling Club in what will be the Centenary year of the Open 50, is gradually taking shape and it is time to appeal to the Artistic among you (CAD or otherwise) to come up with a design for the programme/start sheet Cover.

There are no restrictions on design but as a guide can I say that Stratford CC used a rider profile blurred at the edges for the National 10 Championship 2010 programme.  East District Cycling Association embedded a map of their local area onto the 12hr Championship 2010 programme.
